Community Leadership in 2025: A Community Foundation Summit

Community foundation CEOs and board leaders are invited to a two-day Community Leadership Summit focused on key issues shaping the future of philanthropy and public policy in Pennsylvania.

Day 1: Reception & Conversation

Tuesday, May 6 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | The summit begins with a reception and dinner at The Pittsburgh Foundation’s new offices. The evening will feature a conversation with Sterling Speirn, former President & CEO of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, offering insights into leadership in philanthropy.

Day 2: Policy & Trends Discussion

Wednesday, May 7 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | The morning session will explore Pennsylvania’s mega-trends, presented by The Center for Rural Pennsylvania, followed by a facilitated discussion on Commonwealth public/private policy priorities with representatives from Team PA, Governor Shapiro’s administration, and the offices of Senators McCormick and Fetterman. The event will conclude with an interactive discussion on how community foundations can act together to address these challenges and opportunities.

Attendance and Registration

• CEO participants are encouraged to bring at least one and up to three board members.

• Attendance for both days is encouraged, but single-day registration is available.

• The cost is $100 per person for either a single day or the full two-day summit.

This summit provides a valuable opportunity to engage with thought leaders and policymakers on the critical issues affecting philanthropy and community foundations.
